Spiral

This binding style is known by a number of names including spiral coil, color coil, colorcoil, ez-coil, plastic coil, spiral binding, plastikoil and coilbind. Documents bound with Helical coil (usually called spiral coil) can open flat on a desk or table and offer 360 degree rotation for easy note taking. This binding style is durable and is often used for documents that need to be mailed. Spiral coil binding spines are also available in more colors and sizes than other binding styles.

Saddlestitch

designed to insert staples into the spine (saddle) of folded printed matter such as booklets, cataloguesbrochures and manuals. They are distinguished by their unusual length (most traditional staplers are too short to staple booklets easily) and by the presence of a V-shaped hump or "saddle" which is used to precisely align the central fold of the material to be stapled.

Wire O

Wire binding is a popular commercial book binding method, and is known by a number of different names including twin loop wirewire-odouble loop wiredouble-oring wire and wirebind. With this binding method, users insert their punched pages onto a "C" shaped wire and use a wire closer to squeeze the spine until it is round. Documents that are bound with wire binding will open completely flat on a desk and allow for 360 degree rotation of bound pages.
